Mental Health First Aid for Fire & EMS - now through Sept. 2021
The Eastern Washington Area Health Education Center has a grant to provide Mental Health First Aid Training in 16 of the 20 counties of Eastern Washington. Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is a curriculum of the National Council for Behavioral Health. The training teaches people how to help if they find someone experiencing a serious emotional disturbance or serious mental illness. The class is online and consists of 2 hours of independent online pre-work and then 4.5 hours of online instructor-led training. The class is offered no-cost because of the grant. Training will be conducted through September 2021. (See attached flier for more information.)
